Pechanga – Kelsey’s Restaurant

In 2015, Pechanga Resort & Casino came to Shema Dougall Design Associates to study a variety of food concepts throughout the property including a dramatic fire-lit social house restaurant, dine dining, feature bar, and whiskey lounge. Ultimately the existing Sports Bar was selected for a complete remodel with an identity very distinct from the rest of the resort. The newly designed Gastro Pub took advantage of the high ceilings and brick walls creating the look of a converted industrial space into a hip destination for both casual casino guests and regional clientele with excellent food and a dramatic center bar.

Interesting facts:
Named for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Agent, C.E. Kelsey who allotted the tribal land where the Casino now stands. Logo includes the windmill that still stands on the land from the 1930s farms established thanks to Kelsey.
